My ice cream was left out all night..?

I left some haagen dazs ice cream out all night and it has melted into milkshake. Would it be dangerous to refreeze it and then eat it?My ice cream was left out all night..?

I am very sorry, but yes it could be dangerous. As with all foods you can't refreeze something once it has thawed.


Think of it this way, if it was milk you had left out all night and it was warm, would you drink it or throw it away? Ice cream, even yummy hagen dazs has bacteria in it, and once it's melted the bacteria start contaminating it, meaning it will make you ill if you eat it.


If it helps, it wouldn't taste right anyway.
lol you could refreeze it... but I was told that it will then give you diarhea.

just throw away.are u sooooooooooooooo selfish of money that u cant buy another icecream or u r sooooooooo lazy that u cant prepare icecream using icepowder.......or u r sooooooooooo particular to eat lot of icecreams.............. u will be fat.or u r sooooooo conjuse that u are feeling 4 wasting a single icecream
id re freeze it..but i dont think it would come out with the right texture, so after you do freeze it..put it in a blender with some chocolate syrup or cookies and stuff it should still make a good milkshake :)
If you re-freeze it, you're still able to eat it, it just might taste a bit stale or old because the cream won't be fresh anymore.
No it wouldn't however ice cream re freezed turns pretty much to hard ice and it doesn't taste very good at all.
