I bought the ambi fade cream so should i put it on at night and rub it in?

it just said to apply i see lil results because i rub it in or should i put it on before i go to sleep .(or should i rub it in) i need some adviceI bought the ambi fade cream so should i put it on at night and rub it in?
i recently brought that too for the first time..i put it on in the mornin and night but it stinks so now i use cvs brand scar gel, ive been usin it for about 2 weeks and i can see a difference already
