Last night I was eating a chocolate almond ice cream cone and I accidentally swallowed an almond whole.?

After it felt like it was stuck in my throat. All night I had bad heart burn and even tried to make myself puke to get it up. Today the pain is in in my chest near my rib cage. Everytime I swallow anything it gives me severe pain and I am completely uncomfortable. I have spent all day burping really bad, so much that it makes the pain worse and I am wondering if this is something that I should go see a doctor about. Will the almond swell up or will it eventually end up in my stomach and digest?Last night I was eating a chocolate almond ice cream cone and I accidentally swallowed an almond whole.?
its probably in your stomach right now.

What you are feeling is the 'cuts' it made in your throat on the way down. Your esophagus is lined with tons of little things that push food down to your stomach so it has to have been in your stomach by now.

The burping and stuff is probably from your stomach trying to digest it.Last night I was eating a chocolate almond ice cream cone and I accidentally swallowed an almond whole.?
You are so dead. An almond tree will sprout and grow out your ears. In time you will be compost and simple fodder for that almond seed you chose to swallow instead of chewing the little bugger. Just think. You have gone green and did you part to save mother earth. God bless you for making the ultimate to save us all...
The gastric juices in your stomach should take care of it, it should have just done down because their is not digestion in the esophagus but if you are experiencing terrible pain then definitely please go and see a doc asap.
A huge almond plant will grow in your stomach :O

Just kidding... It'll digest. If you're worried, ask your doctor. Best of luck!
It will pass, it will just take longer to digest. The stomach acid will slowly deteriorate it.
I think it'll pass, too, but if you are really uncomfortable and worried, go ahead and see a doctor....
It should end up in your stomach and digest, but if you're expierencing pain you should see a doc
It'll pass.
