Eating ice-cream every night?

My best friend and her boyfriend eat ice-cream every single night. She wants to lose weight, but is convinced that moderate ice-cream is fine. She says Ice-cream has milk proteins in it. This can't be healthy?Eating ice-cream every night?
Every night is not healthy. It's really empty calories. Lots of fat and sugar and not too many other nutrients there. It's okay every once in a while like every weekend but not every day! And she wants to lose weight. Easy. Cut it out. And eat smaller portions of food more often throughout the day. And include some moderate exercise. Tell your friend Good Luck.

PeaceEating ice-cream every night?
No it causes heart problems in the long run
try frozen yoghurt
she needs to eat like the health kind that it low in fat and it actually does taste good... the have all different kinds of ice cream that is good for you lik eno trnasfat and stuff... but other wise she is going to end up gaining a lot of weight unless she works it off of course.... my friend is a wrestler and yea he knows all the stuff like that... lol
Eh, not really.

If she wants an ice-cream like treat to have every night, she should try Skinny Cow ice cream.

Very low in calories and no sugar.

however, it does not taste like that at all.
no this isnt healthy and you should go and talk to her about it because she sounds kind of retarted for saying that look at the nutrician facts on the ice cream box
I used to do that.

I now sumo it in china.
u can tell her have fun getting fat of those thighs... ( :-o)
It is if she is eating soy based ice cream bcause there will not be fat and sugar in it.
HUGE mistake - a single large dip of chocolate may have as many as 400 calories (not including the cone) and about 25 grams of fat. The ';fancy,'; rich ice creams probably have more than that.

I dearly love ice cream, but I only have it one night a week - and that happens to be tonight! :)
well maybe you could introduce her to smoothies or something a little healthier.
Eating ice-cream every night puts on LOADS of calories which turns into fat. It includes little protein and milk the majority of it has cream and LOTS of sugar and artificial flavour, depends on what type of ice-cream you buy. But if they keep on eating ice-cream every day they could put on some serious weight!
Its chock of essential vitamens and nutrients, ;ike potassium. But so so is a banana. Ice cream is 100% fat
This is not healthy tell her to buy frozen yogurt and eat it during the day so she work it off. Better would be none at all. Tell her to freeze ripe bananas and try that at lunch instead of ice cream or yogurt.
dont eat ice cream every night or u wont be able 2 sleep.
Eating regular ice cream every night is not healthy, but I understand her problem. There are many substitutes as mentioned. She could still loose weight however depending how bad the rest of her pre diet eating habits were. If she cuts out all fast food, soda etc. (assuming these things were in her diet before) and continues to only have 1 vice - ice cream- she could still loose weight overall but probably wouldn't get optimal results. She should either find a substitute or use ice cream as a periodic reward not an every night comfort food.
theres fat free milk and non fat

milk does have protien but sometimes its not healthy

ice-cream is sweet cause it has so much sugar

sugar turns to fat

EDIT: she has to try JAMBA JUICE !

cause tis yummier and healthier than ice-cream
Well, there is an ';Ice Cream Diet';... but it means reducing calories elsewhere, not just tacking on ice cream on top of your daily routine.

No idea if it actually works, seems like there would be much more efficient ways of losing weight.
tell her to try low-fat icecream.

it`s actually pretty good.
yea its not healthy

tell her to eat low fat frozen yogurt or something
its not really healthy as it is fattening so i would try to help her
no its not healthy, frozen yogurt thats fat free might be better
No - tell her she's a fat lass and needs to eat prunes.
